2kg potatoes, peeled & thinly sliced
600g onions, sliced
225g Cheddar cheese, grated
25g Bisto Chicken Bouillon Paste
1l boiling water
40g butter

Method

Step one

Layer the potatoes, onions and cheese into an ovenproof dish and season well.

Step two

Dissolve the Bisto Chicken Bouillon Paste in the boiling water and pour over the potatoes. Dot with the butter. Cover with foil.

Step three

Bake in a preheated oven at 190°C, 375°F, gas mark 5 for 40 minutes, until the potatoes are tender and lightly browned.

Tips

Spice up this classic dish by substituting Stilton for Cheddar cheese.
