Are you supporting the Veganuary campaign this year?

Last year, Veganuary inspired and supported over 620,000 people to try vegan during their campaign. It’s back for 2023 and this month we will be sharing some of our most popular vegan recipes on our social media channels. Veganuary is focused on changing consumer behaviours and attitudes, while providing all the information and practical support required to make the transition to veganism as easy and as enjoyable as possible through the month. Here are five fascinating vegan facts…

  • A new YouGov poll found that 71% of British adults have heard of the 31 day vegan pledge and almost 10% have taken part since it launched in 2014.
  • Sign-ups to this year’s annual Veganuary challenge have hit a record rate at one person every 2.4 seconds as more Brits look to try out a vegan diet.
  • Lumina Intelligence survey of 1,000 adults found that 28% remain vegan after taking part in Veganuary whilst 36% eat plant-based food more often.
  • Sustainability and environmental impact are the key drivers of customers’ food choices. According to a report by Deliveroo, of those who described themselves as vegan, 26% were so primarily for sustainability reasons.
  • An article in VegNews revealed that Google Searches for “Vegan Food Near Me” increased by more than 5,000 Percent in 2021.
