Meet School Chef of the Year finalist, Katherine Ruffalls

Katherine Ruffalls from Pinner Park Primary School was the winner of the London heat of the LACA School Chef of the Year competition. She served up a vegan bean and sweet potato chilli served in a taco bowl and vegan/gluten free chocolate and avocado fudge brownie. Katherine feels that with so many dietary requirements to consider these days she needed to create something that would be suitable for all whilst ensuring she added as many fruit and vegetables as possible. In her day job she really enjoys encouraging children to try new foods. If she hears her name called as the winner in the final she knows she will be speechless. It will mean a lot to both her and the school she works at.
