Meet the School Chef of the Year finalist, Garry Finan

In the East Midlands heat of LACA School Chef of the Year, Garry Finan from Corby Business Academy was crowned the winner. He cooked up a menu of Asian soy and honey chicken skewers and citrus posset for dessert.

Garry loved cooking in the regional heat, he saw the buzz around the competition last year and knew he wanted to be part of it. Having been a chef for nearly 40 years he has found working in education catering has given him a new love for the industry and he likes how the hours and holidays work so well for him. Winning would be “ouf of this world” for him.
