Premier Foods launches new recipe booklet to inspire care homes ahead of Coronation Big Lunch
Premier Foods has launched a new, digital dessert recipe booklet to inspire care home chefs across the UK ahead of the Coronation of His Majesty The King on Saturday 6 May 2023.
Premier Foods is home to some of the nation’s best loved dessert brands such as Ambrosia, Angel Delight and Bird’s. By drawing on its rich heritage and extensive knowledge of British desserts, the food producer hopes its new creation will help care homes up and down the country in putting together the most memorable dessert trolley for residents to enjoy during the Coronation Big Lunch.
The recipe booklet, which is available to download from Brakes foodservice website provides top tips on how to elevate the classic vintage desserts.
Sarah Robb, foodservice marketing manager, Premier Foods Foodservice said: “Food marks any special occasion, and if done well, can create the ultimate celebratory atmosphere. The King’s Coronation is no different. That’s why we’re excited to help care home chefs in putting together an unforgettable dessert trolley.
“We know that care home catering teams will already have a range of go-to dessert recipes in mind for their Coronation Big Lunch, but hopefully some fresh insight and new ideas will help take some of the pressure off their shoulders.”
Furthermore, Premier Foods has partnered with leading wholesale foodservice provider, Brakes, to bring even more joy to both care home staff and residents during the historic weekend.A competition has been launched offering care homes the chance to win a collection of beautiful border plants to create their very own fragrant memory garden in honour of the King’s Coronation.
Cathy Amos, Head of Customer Marketing, Brakes added: “The care home sector will want to mark this special occasion, and so we’re delighted to be working with one of our main suppliers, Premier Foods who can help them to do just that. Our competition is quick and simple to take part in and offers care homes the chance to create their very own ‘Royal Garden’, for residents to enjoy over the summer.”
