Beef Bourguignon

Ingredients

20g Bisto Beef Bouillon Paste
1l boiling water
1.5kg silverside of beef, cut into 10 steaks
Ground black pepper to season
300g onion, diced
300g carrot, diced
4 cloves of garlic, chopped
350g button mushrooms, halved
375ml red wine
50g Bisto Gravy Granules

Method

Step one

Place the Bisto Beef Bouillon Paste into a jug and pour over the boiling water to make the beef stock.

Step two

Season the steak with pepper and fry in hot oil to seal. Place into an ovenproof container.

Step three

To thicken the gravy, add the Bisto Gravy Granules and stir until the correct consistency is achieved.
