Cutlery Free Individual Blueberry and Almond Tart

Ingredients

250g McDougall’s Pastry Mix
McDougalls Plain Flour for dusting
125g butter
50g Marvel Milk Powder
125g caster sugar
125g ground almonds
2 free-range egg, beaten
100g blueberries
Icing sugar for dusting

Method

Step one

Preheat the oven to 180°C, 350°F, Gas 4.

Step two

Make the pastry, following the on pack instructions.

Step three

Roll out the pastry and cut to line 12 hole bun tin.

Step four

For the filing, mix the butter until it is soft, add the Marvel Milk Powder and then stir in the sugar, ground almonds and eggs.
over a moderate heat and add a small knob of butter or a splash of oil.

Step five

Then divide between the pastry cases, and sprinkle with the blueberries.

Step six

Bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until golden and cooked through.

Step seven

Dust with icing sugar to serve.

Tips

You can swap the blueberries for raspberries or even put a swirl of jam on the top of the almond filling.
