Bolognese with Vegan Mince

Ingredients

50ml olive oil
2 onions, finely chopped
2 carrots, finely chopped
2 celery sticks, finely chopped
800g vegan mince* check for allergens
1kg Homepride Bolognese Sauce
600g pasta shells *check for allergens
100g vegan cheese, crumbled

Method

Step 1

Heat the oil in a large saucepan. Gently cook the chopped onions for 2 minutes, add the carrots and celery and cook for a further 5 minutes.

Step 2

Add the vegan mince, cook for 10 minutes until it’s all brown.

Step 3

Add the Homepride Bolognese Sauce and simmer 10 minutes.

Step 4

While the meat is cooking, cook the pasta shells following on pack instructions.

Step 5

Serve the Bolognese on a bed of pasta shells and sprinkled with crumbled vegan cheese.

Tips

Great served with tagliatelle but why not try with other pastas like penne and fusilli or with potato wedges or gluten free pasta for a gluten free option.
