Ingredients
100g Smash Instant Mashed Potato
500ml boiling water
300g gluten free plain flour, plus extra for rolling
1 egg
100g butter
Salt and black pepper to season

Method
Step one
In a bowl place the Smash Instant Mashed Potato and pour over boiling water. Mix well then leave to stand for three minutes. Stir again then leave to cool.
Step two
Mix the flour and the egg with the prepared Smash to form a potato dough, and season with black pepper.
Step three
Roll out the potato dough on a floured surface to create the size of potato cake you want.
Step four
Add enough butter to a fry the potato cakes until golden and serve warm.
